lighting test shots

lighting test shots

This is the location I have chosen for my short film which is in new Stratford area. I had to go and check what the weather would be in order to assess the condition for the setting and lighting so I would know exactly where and how I would carry out the film. I needed to know if the weather will be dry to avoid our equipment and cameras to be damaged but mainly for the lightning effects. I chose this location because of the colours of the building and the numbers of lighting lamp poles that reflect on the floor and create lot of shadows, I felt it will be an interesting spot to shot.

task 2a

Task 2a/ timeline / technical developments in Editing
What events to include:
Early splicing (Porter)- the early splicing was created  around Nov 12, 1903 this was the technique of physically using their hand to make this  but they had to do it very carefully and no mistakes.
The Moviola + example of film edited on it. -  This was the first device that made to allow the film editors to view the film while editing during the period of time that they was making the film. This was the first machine  they made to do feature length motion picture editing.
TV and video editing
Linear editing- This process was created around Jan 1, 1930,also there was different editing  skills they
Video editing is the process of editing segments of these tapes using a device that mechanically that puts pieces of video tapes together.

Non-linear editing- the non-linear was made around Jan 31, 1992 this was one of the most important things that they needed because they couldn't us the old programs they used to use. This process is electronic this is was important also they had no printing or splicing involved during this early days the digital editing soon took place because the  video editing as it is much quicker.

photoshop poster recreation task 3 moodborad

Image result for anthony bImage result for a boogie wit da hoodieThe reason that I have chosen this picture is because I would like to create a similar poster. I like the fact that the man is standing out, the colours and the cloud of smoke stand out due to the contrast of having a black background. The cloud of smoke is taking a big part of the photo and looks like a cloud. I would like to represent the smoking marijuana not in the way we think about it or use it in Western countries but instead highlight the real meaning of smoking marijuana within the Rastafari culture (which involve meditation, to emphasise the sense of community as well as producing visions of a religious and calming nature).

What interested me in this poster is mainly the way how this rapper a boogie wit da hoodie is sitting and the way he is dressed which represents a more modern, urban style as I am looking at mixing in my own poster an old fashion with an urban version.

What I like the most in this poster is actually the display of the white writing that mirror the white of the sclera of the eyes. I also like the contrast of him standing strong and powerful all in black as a black person in front of lot of people which represents his friends, artists and family.

Task 1a and task 1B

This two brothers that are called the Lumière Brothers, they both come from France they where it first every people that produce different kind of moving images to link to the films which was linked to the workers that are living with the film industry. This film was based in different location also their was showed only one things at a time also there was different people who were leaving in a factory that where filmed didn't really have no audio and also no editing linked to it. The film was filmed in different area and shots to make the movie look good one of the shots where they used 2 different  camera to get two shots of the scene that they  where trying to make also they didn't use no close up shots at all for the film. there was a man called Georges Melies he developed different kind of shots to make different scene look different, also he real name is Marie-Georges-Jean Méliès buy he liked it when everyone called him Georges Méliès, he was known as a film director who led many technical and narrative to improve and development them in the earliest days of cinemas. the way that they had to cut the tape was with hand made and no technical things to help them to cut. in the 1915s there was a man called by D.W that was his birth nation name Griffith he created different movie that can be less than a theatre play within he had a lot off people that was acting for him around 1 8,000 actors used multiple cameras and multiple edits more than any movie before it.
