Lumière Brothers

The Lumière Brothers, were two brothers that came from France they were the first people to produce a moving image film which was workers living their factory the film was first shown in a cafe in paris on October 19th 1862  the film showed only one thing and that was some people leaving a factory the film had no sound and no editing at all it was short and had zero context too it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEQeIRLxaM4 . In addition too this all the movies at the time that succeeded it were filmed in the same way which was the camera is placed in front of a stage in the center and their were no close up shots made and it was all done like you were watching a play at a theater however in this time a man called Georges Melies developed a way of cutting the tape of film to add and or take away scene where he wanted too he discovered this by accident when filming a bus and his camera jammed and it was replaced with a horse after he fixed it and reverse it he than used this in many of his moves as a magic trick where people would appear and disappear on film however a trip to the moon became his most famous movie in which he shows off his editing the best it was also one of the longest moves edited at the time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNLZntSdyKE . Hever he still only shot his films the way the two brothers did one camere all shot and done like a theater play. It was not until 1915s Birth Of a Nation by D. W. Griffith that a movie would become less like a theater play on stage but truly complexed and layered that move had 18,000 actors used multiple cameras and multiple edits more than any movie before it, it was also the most expensive and had the biggest revenue at the time however it also was a racist movie portraying clans man as heroes but even though of that it was the only movie at the time to fully utilise all the new technology and all the new techniques of the era.

The people that were in my group were Zehra, Pearl, Precious and Greta and they were the ones that made comments on my work and gave me feedback in terms of what they like it or did not like. They decided what I needed to keep or not. They suggested that I keep my music magazine because they found it appealing and different from the usual magazine we are used to see on the market.

Also they know that I am going to be able to do couple things with it and they need to be so different to the work that I trying to link it to. 

While we was preparing to present our work to the groups that was chosen for us, also in my group this was my members that was giving me different point of view on my work they like. The purpose for my work and their work is that the focus group was to present and have a two way discussion about everyone work and ideas for our magazine covers, also we had to choose as a group which was the best idea that we showed them. I showed them 3 different ideas they were fashion, gaming and music this was the 3 ideas that I have picked also everyone told me what is good and bad about them my fashion magazine is good and they said that they liked it but the only reason that is bad about it is that other companies have different fashions they have created and I need to make sure they are going to be copy right so nothing will happen to my work.

In my group different ideas was been placed for my work that what should I need to improve to it also they came up with different ideas for my work that they wanted me to mix my idea with different companies to make it look good and they do not want it to be the same to the original  idea.

The report that I have picked out of my 3 ideas that I have picked they all justified it because all idea was good but only one idea has to be picked for my final work and they need to see what I have in mind of changing idea or keeping the same ideas.

Idea 2 and 3 have been chosen because it have it was too simple and it was the same work at the other people and they didn’t want me to do it also this is why I was trying to make everything different this is why I picked my first idea rather than my other ideas.

Reggae was created a long time ago with famous ariest that brought the bad vibe into a very good vibe they changed the life style of everyone till now they are still  legends and it came from a rhythm and soul where it started was Jamaican folk music all the way back from slavery. It evolved into mento that was just an updated version. Mento was very asscoutic , mento was sung by old people , it was often sung with shakers. Scar music was very upbeat and fast. Rock steady was slower than scar music . Lovers rock was very slow and romantic so you can move to it . Djs used to put loud and big speakers on their trucks so that people can listen to there music. Dancehall is where you had artists such as elephant man , it was upbeat but not too upbeat and not to vulgar making it more modern, after that rolls your Bashment. Everything nowadays is pop fusion. Music was so influential that people would actually fight . There is always a dance to accompany the music. The music always develops over time, it first starts off all nice and clean then when you revisit the song it changes then it changed to all dirty and talking to negative things.

Styles	Definition	Example
modernism	The definition of modernism is that they are modern character also it is the style of the arts that rejects classical and traditional forms of but instead are pieces of the reflect modern society through the artists interpretation of their surroundings.
International style	International style- the term international style was first used in the 1932 to describe designers linked with the modem movement whose design shared similar visual qualities being straight, undecorated, this fits in with modern movement and its seems as the transforming for the world that it’s a  circle that shows every country.
Post-modernism	The Post-modernism is different periods of the musical history also its post-modernism is a period that has parallels are the paintings, sculpture and there are a lot of forms of art that are used. Instead it challenges and changes the way we look at art and how they are shown to use.
Grunge	The definition of grunge is they are link with the rock musical style that was created for the music industry. Grunge is a stlye that associated with the grime and dirt with it links to music.
Op-art	Op art is also known as optic art or optic illusions, this confuses viewers with hidden objects, patterns and movement, also it has flashing and vibrating patterns or the swelling and the warping.
Pop-art	The definition for the pop-art is created on different popular culture. The movement of the art that this is link to are popular because in the Britain and American that also links to the mid-late around 1950s.
Art nouveau	Art Nouveau is an international style of art, design that applies to the art, specifically the attractive arts that was most popular in the time that they created this.
Punk	The Punk rock are different  music genre created  in the 1970s related with various subgenres
Urban	The definition of urban is that it is an African American music that are based on the radio format
Animé	The Anime is a Japanese term for hand-drawn that they created from the begin and also based on a computer animation
Kitsch	The meaning of kitsch is when something taste really bad and it is a poor condition because of excessive garishness but sometimes presented in an ionic.
Photo-realist	The meaning of Photorealism it’s a genre of different art work that are paintings and drawing and other graphic design media
Futuristic	Futuristic is an artistic and also social movement that originated in Italy around the 20th century, it links to different things like youth & violence. Things that are not really real but they are given a real background.
cartoon	The meaning of a cartoon is when the artwork is 2D or 3D it’s a type of drawing or painting. It is  a simple drawing showing features of  their subjects.

Action	Action film is a genre in which the protagonist end up in different series of challenges that typically include violence and other things like races, chases.
Adventure	An adventure is an event or series of events that happens outside the course of the characters.
Sports	Sports is a physical activity subject to certain rules and also the sports are use in comedy and documentary and drama.
Corporate	The meaning of an corporate design is the graphical design of a logo or a name of a company
Fashion	Fashion is a distinctive and often constant trend in the style in which a person dresses and also its links to footwear and hairstyle.
Fantasy	Fantasy is a genre of fiction set in a fictional universe, often, but not always, also it links to settings like magic and magical creatures.
